With July right around the corner, I’ve decided to use the month to get ahead with my word count for my WIP (stay tuned for title, blurb, and cover reveals coming very soon).
In an attempt not to overwhelm myself (let’s be real, life can get hectic very quickly), I’ve set my goal word count to 30K. If all goes according to the plan, I should log in around 1k words daily–give or take–and by the end of July I should’ve reached the midway point for the novel.
Is it realistic? Hopefully.
Will I be consistent? I’ll try to be, but I won’t stress myself too much.
I know some days will be better than others and days when I’ll have no desire to write at all. That’s okay. I’m excited about this story and the way it’s headed and I don’t want to lose that spark by putting myself under too much pressure.
I’ll keep you updated on how that journey goes!
