Hi! This is my personal author website. I keep things simple here and collect only what the site needs to work. This page explains what that is.

Who I am

I’m Arwa Marwan, the author behind this site. You can reach me through the contact page about anything on this page.

What I collect

Newsletter. If you subscribe, I keep your name, email address, the interests you ticked and the date you joined, so I can tell you about new stories and book releases.

Contact form. If you send me a message, I keep your name, email address and message so I can read it and reply.

Comments. New comments are closed. Comments already shown on the site were left by readers, with the name they gave.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics to see, in general, which stories people read. It uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit and your approximate location. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy.

Cookies

This site doesn’t set cookies of its own for readers. The only cookies you’ll get while reading are the Google Analytics ones described above.

How long I keep it

Subscriber details stay until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove them. Messages stay for as long as they’re useful for our conversation. Encrypted server backups are kept for up to a year before they expire.

Who sees it

I don’t sell or share your details. They’re stored on a private server in Germany that only I and the person who runs the site can access.

Your choices

You can ask me what I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, through the contact page. You can unsubscribe at any time the same way, or with the link in any email I send you.

If this page changes, the new version will appear here.
